Annie Jr. and the circus

So, it was another fruitful weekend, busy as usual but we wouldn’t have it any other way.  Beans and Mini both had signed up to be in the local production of “Annie Jr.”, a slimmed down version of the full play Annie.  Seeing as how this was their first time in theater they were both cast as orphans which was just fine.  They had been practicing and singing the songs for weeks already and now for the big day.

Living out of our hometown we don’t get to see our family a lot but were thrilled when Nana, Bad Uncle, Ammae, Pam and Auntie Moyer came to see the girls perform.  The play was really cute and after the play they were given flowers.  I am so glad that we get to do things like this for them, it was not cheap but they got such a kick out of it.  We will be signing them up to do the next performance.

We decided that we would head to the Shriner’s Circus today.  Neither one of the girls had ever been to the circus and neither had my hubby.  I had but it had been many years and we thought it would be fun.  And we all had a blast!  The girls got to go on the elephants (I know some people think this is so cruel and I am not even sure how I feel but it was an experience I wanted them to have).  They really put on a great show and even though it was kind of pricey we would certainly do it again.

I leave you with Beans quote of the day: “How come me and my sister can’t eat with pork chops?”  She meant chopsticks, lol!
